About the Office of the Auditor-General

The Office of the Auditor-General for Adamawa State is established under Section 125 of the 1999 Constitution to audit the accounts of the State Government and all public institutions funded from the Consolidated Revenue Fund. We exist to give the people of Adamawa State assurance that public resources are managed prudently, transparently and in accordance with the law.

    The Office is constitutionally empowered to audit the accounts of Adamawa State and all bodies funded from public revenue, and to report its findings to the State House of Assembly.

  • How are audits conducted?

    Our audits follow a structured process of planning, fieldwork, evidence-gathering and reporting, guided by INTOSAI and national auditing standards.

  • Who does the Auditor-General report to?

    The Auditor-General submits annual audit reports to the Adamawa State House of Assembly, which reviews them through its Public Accounts Committee.
